Have you ever noticed how kids will work for a long time on a project and then go on to a new task without actually playing in the world they created?
My daughter spent an hour picking out pieces and carefully crafting this scene at the library. When she was finished, instead of playing with it, she said she’d leave it for someone else to enjoy.
Really, for her, the joy was the process of creating. It was her imagination – flooded with ideas of what her creation could be. Her tiny hands – making a pile of blocks into a masterpiece brick by brick.
Isn’t that how it is with God?
He takes joy in making us into something special. Sometimes, the process seems long, and sometimes, there must be rebuilding. But always, the Creator has a great plan.
So, remember, God isn’t finished with you yet. You are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.
And He takes great joy in his work.
