There are several trees behind my house. It’s the middle of March, and one of them is in full bloom while everything around it still looks dead.
One glimpse of spring in the midst of a sea of winter.
It’s doing what it was made to do. But you know what? So are all the others. They are all living out this season of life in the way that their Creator designed.
And in one month, no one will know which tree bloomed first.
So maybe you identify with this tree that stands out alone, unique among the others. It’s definitely your time to shine. Don’t be ashamed about it!
But maybe, like the majority of these trees, you are in a season of temporary deadness. You stand next to a tree in full bloom and wonder what’s wrong with you.
Nothing, my friend.
You are fulfilling the purpose designed by the Creator for you in this season.
Waiting is hard. But don’t quit. This season will change. And you will bloom again.
